Moogilop, is a family oriented Agro forest park emerging into an integrated farming system with mixed agricultural farming practices of agro forestry , miyawaki fruit forest , seeds , flowers , fruits ,vegetables, etc.

The 10-acre land , in Tirumalapuram , Sendamaram was referred to us in  the year of 2010. With a higher vision to be a tiny knot to  hold the new generations migrations from villages to towns and metropolitan cities and later to other countries in pursuit of employment , I set out for the time and solution for 10 years.

In my studies and follow up , I stumbled upon bamboo and later into Agro forestry through Joychettan & Akhil of Green Guards , Kerala.

I enriched the sense of economic and social responsibility of  agriculture from forefathers who where farmers from central Kerala.

My grandparents were farmers and in childhood I saw my grandfather involved and seen him in paddy farming and cultivation. I cherished the  tranquility and lifestyle offered by farming  to them for me.

In 80 ’s my father (late ) J P Thottil owned 1.5-acre land  at Attazhapadam ( Paddy field for Dinner), Karipoothitta , Arpookara in our hometown which as his vision developed the land with coconut , mangoes , jack fruit and others. Upon his sudden demise in my childhood, I had engaged in farming and found agriculture, the biggest industry, very interesting.

We used to draw toddy ( natural Tequila of the Orient Toddy Coconut in Kerala ) from coconut and earned a decent income by contracting with local toddy shop. By this our homely needs were taken care of and dwelled into the blossom of agro entrepreneur.

  In my experience agriculture is an industry where any individual from childhood can be engaged till old age at the comfort of ones on home and family  which  is always on top rating of demand and supply charts.

P C John , known as Joy Chetan ( Elder Brother ) came into my life through a reference from a scientist in Bamboo Corporation of India. Joychettan with a vison to plant 10 Million trees , member of various respected agro related  departments in south India. His son Akhil Joy is also his partner in Green Guards.

Immense  knowledge and skill of Joychettan in agro related business from nursery till merchandising from lifelong experience on field has blessed to ignite my thoughts.

Joychettan have encouraged his son , MBA graduate into this experience with him in the hills and potholes of south  India  for planting trees , with necessary trainings on all related agro streams which is an eye opener for those parents who wish to send children for studies out of our country as migrants due to scarcity of employment who never return back to home.

We merchandise all agro products including  Bamboo, hard woods, ornamental trees ,treated wood, bonsai and human  etc. We offer planting services ,consultation services in landscaping and development , selection of agroforestry & farming solutions , agro business  and agro tourism solutions. We have a selection of fancy & interior decoration, personal care , industrial products for all customer needs.

Moogilop is a  strong advocate for sustainable forestry management. We propose bamboo forests and plantation lands in a way, and at a rate, that maintains or improves its biodiversity, productivity, regeneration capacity, vitality and their potential to fulfill (now and in the future), relevant ecological, economic and social functions, at local, national, and global levels, which does not cause damage to other ecosystems.

In simpler terms, the concept can be described as the balance between society's increasing demands for forest products and benefits, and the preservation of forest health and diversity. This balance is critical to the survival of forests, and to the prosperity of forest-dependent communities.
